To say this one was a dream would be an understatement. Allie and her sweet mom were such a joy to work with from day one, and the most incredible team of vendors went above and beyond to bring Allie's vision to life. For the big picture, we worked with the Stageworks team to take an empty lot in residential Fort Worth and transform it into a four level ceremony and reception site, all the while maintaining the "secret garden" ceremony we envisioned. For details, we turned to Jackson Durham for floral and tabletop design and Southern Fried Paper for everything from save the dates to custom matchboxes for our cigar bar. Each detail, big and small, was such a reflection of Allie's personal style, it was amazing to see everything fall into place just perfectly. Even the weather cooperated and gave us a more beautiful evening than we could have ever asked for!

Lauren and Austin's wedding was one for the books! Having dated since high school, once Austin popped the question these two had no interest in waiting to say "I do," so we got to planning. The entire process took only 10 weeks! It was truly amazing to see everything fall into place just perfectly and to be able to bring Lauren's vision to life in such a short period of time.

I've had the absolute pleasure of working with Carly's family not once but twice, and they're just the best. As a mom of two girls, it's such a sweet thing to see not two but FOUR sisters who love each other and their parents so well. Carly and John chose the Gage Hotel in Marathon, TX for their wedding, and boy was this a destination wedding done right. Carly and her family live in Midland, and Marathon is far enough that it feels like a destination, but not so far it's terribly hard to get to. The wedding party, family members, and guests took over the entire hotel and had a blast celebrating together all weekend. The colors, furnishings, and tequila donkey all added to the perfect West Texas celebration!

My favorite parts of Diane and Dodge's November wedding were their families. Not only were the mother of the bride and mother of the groom long time friends, Diane and Dodge trump all high school sweethearts and have known each other since they were two! Talk about some amazing rehearsal dinner photos! I was fortunate enough to plan both the wedding and rehearsal dinner, and it was such a joy to get to know both of these sweet families throughout the planning process.

Mary Catherine and Russell were married on a perfect September evening.. I loved that Mary Catherine took ownership of her wedding details from day one. She had a vision, knew what was important to her, and wasn't afraid to ask for exactly what she wanted. Mary Catherine played a huge role in the design and execution of her invitations- basically doing it all herself!- and has even started an invitation and calligraphy small business as a result. Clean boxwood lines were juxtaposed with loose, organic florals with plenty of greenery by Bows & Arrows, and the results were stunning! This wedding turned into one of my favorite examples of pulling together a lot of different ideas in a cohesive and personal way.

One of the biggest perks of working for myself has been getting to be a part of weddings for so many people I love dearly. Ginette is one of my closest friends from my time at Hockaday, and truly the friend who pushed me to jump back into weddings after a short time off. Ginette & Johnny's wedding was exactly what you would imagine for a perfect spring celebration. All of the details fell into place just right, but the wedding really centered around Ginette & Johnny's wonderful friends and family celebrating their marriage. What a dream!

The two most rewarding parts of my job are relationships with families and seeing these big, beautiful days come together. Emily and Garrett’s wedding was absolutely above and beyond on both fronts. Anyone who knows Emily would agree she is someone who is a joy to celebrate, and this was such a wonderful opportunity for those who love her to celebrate her BIG TIME!
On a professional note, I’ve been itching to do a wedding at the Fort Worth Zoo for quite some time, and it did not disappoint! An abundance of flowers + shades of pink and coral transformed the event deck and tent into a space you knew was meant for celebration, and Emily and Garrett embraced being at the zoo just the perfect amount. Guests were able to feed the giraffes during cocktail hour while they sipped on signature cocktails with giraffe themed stir sticks, but once dinner and dancing began the evening was all about the bride and groom. Guests danced the night away to the music of the Taylor Pace Orchestra until Emily and Garrett exited (very appropriately) to “Welcome to the Jungle.”
